SPP Technologies Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) is pleased to announce that, effective April 1, 2026, Takashi Yamamoto and Shingo Ota have been appointed as Co-CEOs and Directors, serving as joint representatives of the Company.

Takashi Yamamoto, newly appointed as Co-CEO and Director, has held key leadership positions within the Company’s Technology Division over many years, driving technological development and product innovation.

Shingo Ota, also newly appointed as Co-CEO and Director, has held key leadership positions within the Company’s Sales and Customer Support Divisions, spearheading business expansion and the strengthening SPP Technologies’ revenue base.

In conjunction with these appointments, Masatoshi Yamabayashi and Shigeru Mori have been newly appointed to the Board of Directors. Under this new leadership structure, SPP Technologies will pursue delivering maximum of value delivered to its customers.

Message from the Newly Appointed Co-CEOs

SPP Technologies has long contributed to advanced device manufacturing for customers both in Japan and abroad. Development and production of manufacturing equipment centers on plasma and thermal processing technologies, primarily in the MEMS, compound semiconductors, and power semiconductors.

The semiconductor industry is currently at a major inflection point. The rapid advancement of AI in particular is dramatically increasing the performance and functionality demands placed on semiconductors — from data centers to automotive and industrial equipment. This trend has further elevated the importance of MEMS and power semiconductors.

Delivering these next-generation devices requires not only finer processing, but highly advanced and flexible process technologies capable of handling new materials and three-dimensional structures — capabilities that go well beyond what was previously possible.

Plasma technology, at the core of this effort, enables micro- and nano-level control in areas such as etching and film deposition, while thermal processing technology does the same in oxidation, diffusion, and annealing — both serving as critical foundational technologies that directly influence device performance.

As an equipment manufacturer with deep strengths in these core technologies, SPP Technologies will continue to contribute to the technological innovation that supports semiconductor advancement in the AI era.
